Diaries of an empath,

Diaries of an empath
Musings of an epileptic
The story of a wounded warrior
Healing better than expected.

Reclaiming her inner peace
Figuring out the way her arrow points
The journey of a survivor
Taking every punch life throws at her.

She knows she’ll survive each passing blow
Cause she’s seen how her story should end
It’s not going according to plans
Though this is all part of the battle.

The story of a stolen identity
due to a childhood forgotten
The start of early dementia
Interrupted by a spiritual awakening.

A year full of chaos and threat
A demon unleashed from inside
Calling out the years of abuse for what it was
Desperately trying to make things right.

But her biggest triggers refuse to admit their part
In the terrors that haunt her mind
Shutting her up and walking away
Whenever they’re shown in a bad light.

A father admits he thinks he’s God
A mother feigns pure sainthood
A family that has turned their backs cause she’s gay
A sister that’s been totally brainwashed

A black sheep seeks poetic justice
Even in her delicate state.
Revenge is the goal, Words are the weapons
Cause sometimes the pen really is mightier than the sword.

Some utterances can cut like knives
Others can heal a broken heart
Be careful what you say
All it takes sometimes is one word to make a person totally dissolve.

She’s kept too quiet for far too long
The narcissism is astounding
Mental and emotional abuse abound
Totalitarian parents unrelenting.

A weary sheep she will be no more
But a badass visionary revolutionist
Trying to help the whole world heal
From the traumas that haunt their brains.
